01 · at the validator doorUnstaked path deprioritized

Your unstaked RPC submission didn’t fit in the validator’s TPU window — the leader prioritized stake-weighted traffic and your QUIC handshake was dropped or queued past the slot.

02 · at the bankScheduler picked someone else

Once a tx reaches banking, SWQoS no longer helps — the scheduler is fee-based. Without a direct lane through the TPU adapter that reserves a bundle slot, you compete against every other tx in the pool.

03 · in your headState was already stale

You decided to submit based on chain state that was 200ms old. By the time you signed, the bundle had already landed without you. The opportunity expired before the tx did.

04 · on the wireCo-tenant noise spiked

Shared shred feeds carry bursty traffic from other tenants. At peak hours that jitter shows up as variance in your shred arrival — not enough to break ShredStream, enough to break HFT-class arb.
